About 6 months ago in the Lightmaster course the group talked about a potential problem as an asteroid was heading to Earth that would show up later this year.  During the course, three months ago we used our own energy to push the asteroid in an exercise in class.  The group told us that we have successfully moved the rock 1/64th of an inch but it was enough to miss earth.

Yesterday my mouth dropped when I saw that NASA spotted the asteroid only two day ago and has determined that it will miss earth by a mere 22,000 miles on Sunday Sept. 7.  22,000 miles may seem like a lot but it is less than 1/10th the distance to the moon.  Well done Lightmasters.
